SDA Bocconi‘s sailing team captured the 2026 MBA Sailing League title following a very strong season across Europe’s top business school regattas.
The Milan-based crew secured a dominant campaign with key victories earlier in the year, including a winning performance at the POLIMI GSoM regatta in Cala Dei Sardi, Sardinia, in May, followed by another victory at the RSM regatta in Malta in June.
Combined with a strong second-place finish at the Global MBA Trophy in Piraeus in April, Bocconi built an unassailable lead heading into the season finale.
Though IE University claimed victory at the final event of the circuit in Cascais, Portugal, in September, Bocconi’s consistent podium presence and earlier wins ensured they safely clinched the overall 2026 championship crown.
Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) claimed the overall runner-up spot in the league standings. Demonstrating exceptional consistency throughout the year, the RSM crew put together a highly competitive campaign, highlighted by a second-place finish at their own RSM Regatta in Malta and a strong second-place performance at the season-ending IE Regatta.
Spain’s IE University secured third place on the final leaderboard. Helmed by alumnus Guillermo Parodi, the IE crew bookended the season beautifully by winning both the opening Global MBA Trophy in Greece and the final event in Cascais, Portugal. However, missing out on points during the middle leg of the circuit left them just short of challenging Bocconi for the ultimate title.
