The RSM Regatta, which was due to take place on 2- 5 July 2020 was cancelled despite the efforts of the organisers.  Not enough crews could make the original dates or the proposed new dates in August for the event to go ahead. Quarantine restrictions on travellers returning from Portugal meant that many teams were unable to participate.

The regatta had introduced special rules to deal with the Coronavirus, requiring all participants to have undergone a Covid 19 test in the 72 hours prior to the regatta and to have tested negative.

The Bocconi MBAs conference and regatta, due to take place at the end of September, will also not take place this year due to the impact of Covid 19 on gatherings in Italy, and increased travel restrictions around the world.
