The IE team won every race to bring home the POLIMI regatta title. The rest of the fleet were left looking on and fighting for second place. POLIMI GSoM came in second with 5 2nd places , with LBS in third the best of the rest.

Imperial win the Global MBA Trophy 2025

Imperial college Business School lifted the Global MBA Trophy aloft in Piraeus, Greece after two days of hard- fought racing. They beat 2024’s winners, SDA Bocconi into second place and 2023’s winners , POLIMI GSoM into third, scoring two wins, two second places and a third place. Racing was in Platu 25 sports boats. The event was presented in partnership with Mastercard by London Business School Alumni Sailing Club and the Yacht Club of Greece.

Global MBA Trophy 2025 is a sell-out!

London Business School have announced that the 2025 Global MBA Trophy has sold all the boats lined up for the regatta. The racing, which will take place in the bay off Piraus, Greece will have 12 “division A” Platu 25 sports boats competing for the trophy and for league points. It will also have 5 “division B+” racer – cruiser boats, and 11 “division B” cruising boats racing in their respective categories. Over 180 participants are expected, with over 200 sailors in total. The regatta will be hosted by the prestigious Yacht Club of Greece.

The Global MBA Trophy has had 18 previous editions in the years since it first took place in 2006.

IE Regatta 2025 dates announced

IE Sailing club have announced the dates of the 2025 regatta: 18 – 21 September. The location will once again be Cascais, Portugal. Division A will be sailed in J70 sports boats.

RSM Regatta returns to Malta in July 2025

The RSM sailing club has announced the dates and location of the 2025 regatta: 10 – 13 July, back in Malta, after 2024’s successful event. The event will be hosted by the Royal Malta Yacht Club, and sailed in SB20 sports boats, with crews of 4.

Racing will take place on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 July. More details are available at the event website.

A boat for 4 people will cost €2,800 including hotel accomodation.

POLIMI GSoM Regatta 2025 dates and venue announced

The 2025 POLIMI regatta returns to Cala dei Sardi in Sardinia, Italy. The 2025 dates have been announced as 8- 11 May 2025.

The regatta has two divisions, with division A qualifying for the MBA Sailing League, and division B aimed at less experienced sailors. The boat is the one-design J24, with Symetrical Spinnaker. They take crews of up to 5 sailors. Division B is placed on cruising boats, with crews of up to 8 persons.

SDA Bocconi are the 2024 MBA Sailing League Champions

SDA Bocconi’s triumph in Cascais in the IE regatta means they secure the top spot in the 2024 Global MBA Sailing League. They have won 3 out of this year’s 4 regattas, with LBS winning the one regatta where Bocconi didn’t attend.

The Global MBA Sailing League trophy will be presented to SDA Bocconi at the Global MBA Trophy regatta in Piraeus, Greece, in April next year.

Second place in the league went to LBS, with IE completing the podium.

Bocconi win in Cascais

SDA Bocconi’s sailing team won their third MBA regatta out of the four in 2024 in Cascais last weekend (27/28 September). In a complex series of races, they qualified for the 5 boat final by coming second in their heats on day 1, and then coming top in their heats on day 2.

The final came down to the wire. It consisted of 5 teams: IE Guillermo, IE Emanuele, IE Artem, SDA Bocconi and LBS. The winner was to be the first to two race wins. IE Guillermo were leading going into the final, and so were awarded one race win already, so only needing one more win.

The first race of the final was won by SDA Bocconi, as they got past LBS and IE Guillermo who were battling for a spot and broaching out. The second race of the final was won by LBS. So going into the third race, any one of these three boats could win the regatta. The SDA Bocconi team then brought it home.

Global MBA Trophy Dates 2025 announced

London Business School alumni Sailing Club, the organiser of the Global MBA Trophy have announced the dates of the 2025 edition. It will be held on 10 – 13 April 2025. The venue, as in previous years will be Microlimano harbour in Piraeus, near Athens, Greece. The event will be hosted by the prestigious Yacht Club of Greece.

Racing will be in 25ft Platu 25 sports boats and 40ft+ cruising boats.
