MIT’s sailing 
team posted their third successive victory at the Rolex MBA’s Cup regatta in Santa Margherita Ligure, Italy in September.
The team from Cambridge MA won two of the four races in the regatta finals, coming second in a third, to post a net score of 4 points. Second place were Columbia, with three second places and a third, posting 8 points. INSEAD came home third, with 7 points, winning the second race.
The finals were raced on the Sunday, in J80 Sports boats and with the aid of top Italian coaches on board each boat.
Over the two prior days, the crews had had four races in 36 ft cruiser racers: 13 Beneteau First 36.7s and 4 Jeanneau Sunfast 37s. Among the 36.7s, the Columbia crew dominated the first three races, and didn’t need to finish the discarded fourth to qualify in first place. INSEAD won all four races in the Sunfast 37 fleet.
