London take over the top of the 2012 League
London Business School’s 3rd place in the Cranfield Regatta, along with their first place at the ABC and 5th in Athens means that they lead the 2012 MBA sailing league with two events still to come. Insead drop from joint first to second, with their sixth place at Cranfield.
The 2012 league is made up of five events: the Global MBA Trophy, The ABC, The Cranfield Regatta, the RSM Regatta and the Rolex MBA’s Cup.
Cranfield winners Leeds and second place Cranfield take up 3rd and 4th spots in the league respectively, while Bocconi climb to 5th.

Insead’s 6th place at the Cranfield Regatta was enough for them to hold onto the number 1 position in the MBA sailing rankings. They are three points ahead of London Business School, whose 3rd place on the Solent brings them above Bocconi into second. Warwick and Leeds round out the top five, climbing as MIP Milano and Manchester drop out.

The Insead team need a top seven result at the Rolex MBA’s cup regatta in Sta. Margharita to be sure of winning the MBA League trophy for 2011. Their nearest challengers, London Business School are currently six points behind them in the league, and so can overtake them if they come first, while Insead fall to 8th place or worse. Third place Bocconi, would need to repeat their win in their home regatta again this year and see Insead drop to 11th, with LBS 5th or worse to win the league.
