IE retain the IE regatta title

IE retained a very closely fought regatta in Puerto Calero, Lanzarote, on 13-14 October winning three of the six races sailed. They held off LBS, who won 2 of the other races by 1 point. Imperial rounded out the podium and won the other race.

Six teams from four business schools competed in the last MBA regatta of 2023. The first day of racing saw light winds – especially in the second race, which ended with a gentle drift of boats downwind over the line. The second day saw four quick- fire races in slightly stronger conditions. Racing and boats were managed by the team from Codigo Cero.

75 participants joined the wider event, with over half enjoying an “Adventure” programme of touristic and sporting activities on the Friday and a Catamaran cruise on the Sunday. Evening events were hosted at the Costa Calero hotel and the Amura restaurant.
